Live Poker, Played in Person

Card District Phillip Island is a dedicated offline poker venue where the table is the main event. Our card room is built for focused, in-person poker in a low-lit, timber-and-felt atmosphere.

Built for the Game

Card District Phillip Island was designed around the poker table, not the other way around. Every detail—from the felt surface to the brass lighting—is meant to keep the focus on the cards and the players. Dedicated poker tables use professional-grade felt and rail, while a card lounge separate from the dining area means the game is never interrupted. Lighting and acoustics are tuned for concentration, not conversation.

THE CARD ROOM

We believe poker deserves a room that matches its seriousness. Our card room is quiet, warm, and free from the distractions of a typical hospitality venue. Timber and felt absorb sound and create a focused atmosphere, and the restaurant is a separate space, so dining never overlaps with play. It is a place where in-person poker feels like the main event, not an afterthought.

The Live Poker Experience

The Table as the Hero

In our card room, the poker table is the focal point. The deep green felt, the weight of the chips, the sound of cards being shuffled—these are the details that make live poker an experience you cannot replicate online. The venue provides professional-grade chips and cards in excellent condition, and seating is arranged for comfort during long sessions.

Focused, Not Flashy

We have deliberately avoided the bright lights and loud sounds of a casino. Instead, the room is lit by warm brass pools over each table, creating an intimate, focused atmosphere where you can read the game and your opponents. Low ambient light reduces glare on cards, and acoustic treatment keeps the room quiet.

In-Person, In the Moment

Offline poker is about presence. At Card District Phillip Island, you are not just playing a hand—you are reading body language, sharing a table with other players, and enjoying the ritual of the game in a room designed for it. There are no distractions from screens or other activities, so the game remains the centre of attention.

Poker Tables, Built for Play

Full-size oval poker table with padded rail and deep green felt under a brass pendant

The Classic Table

Our standard poker table is a full-size oval with a padded rail, deep green felt, and built-in cup holders. It seats up to nine players comfortably and is ideal for regular poker nights.

The High-Top Table

For players who prefer a faster, more casual game, our high-top poker tables offer a smaller footprint and a standing-friendly height. They are perfect for quick rounds during poker nights and seat six players.

The Private Table

For groups who want the card room to themselves, our private poker table is available in a separate alcove. It offers the same premium felt and rail but with more privacy, seating up to eight players, and a dedicated server for food and drinks.

The Card Lounge

A Space Between Hands

The card lounge is a quiet, comfortable space adjacent to the card room where players can step away from the table without leaving the poker atmosphere. It is furnished with deep leather chairs and low tables, lit by the same warm brass as the poker room.

For Players, Not Spectators

The card lounge is reserved for poker players and their guests. It is not a waiting room for the restaurant or a general lounge—it is part of the poker experience, designed for conversation about the game, a quiet moment, or a drink before the next hand. Drinks are available from the restaurant.

The Restaurant: A Second Chapter

Food That Keeps the Game Going

Our restaurant serves a focused menu of dishes designed for poker players: substantial, easy to eat between hands, and made with local Phillip Island ingredients. From share plates to hearty mains, the food is meant to complement the game, not interrupt it.

The Same Room, Softer Light

The restaurant shares the same timber-and-felt materials as the poker room, but with softer lighting and a quieter voice. It is a place to debrief after a hand, enjoy a meal with fellow players, or simply take a break from the table without leaving the venue. The restaurant is open to poker players and restaurant guests.
